It is with great sadness that the Aguilar Family announces the passing of their beloved Boston Terrier, Spike Boudreaux Aguilar. He entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at the age of 14 in Seguin, Texas.
The Aguilar Family doesn’t know where Spike was born, or even his exact date of birth, however, they do know that when they adopted him in November 2019, that he was the perfect fit for their lives. He was a true, one-of-a-kind, senior dog with lots of love to give and receive. The long list of his illnesses, physical disabilities and diseases never held him back from living his best life. He faithfully took all his medications, visited his doctor, and exercised as much as possible. Spike enjoyed walks at Starke Park (riding in his stroller - given in honor of Cujo Lafnear), playing with his toys, taking naps, car rides and chewing on his morning tooth brushing bone. Being with his family meant everything to him. Following them from one room in the house to the other, sleeping with them and watching television with them, were the everyday pleasures he lived for. Spike always had a smile on his face, was loved immensely and his family will never forget him.
Spike is survived by Christopher and Tiffany Aguilar, T. Kamille Serrano and her boyfriend Garrett Stiles, cousin, Gavin Luna; his god parents, Joe, and Jessie Redding; his canine family, Black Betty Davis, and Rosie Aguilar; as well as his feline family, Rascals Johnny, and Priscilla Presley Aguilar.
A Private Viewing and Memorial were held for him.
The Aguilar Family would like to thank the Seguin Animal Hospital (Dr. Justin and staff) for their attentive care of Spike, Joe Ramirez for your care that you showed in Spike’s time of need, The Bluebonnet Pet Crematory for their professionalism, as well as friends and family that have reached out in their time of grief.
Memorials can be made to your local humane society, animal rescue or local animal shelter.
Please consider adopting a senior animal. Too many old dogs and cats are discarded due to their age and no matter the age, they are worthy to be loved and cared for.
