Santiago Ortiz de Mount Pleasant, falleció el miércoles 13 de septiembre de 2023, a la edad de 62 años. Santiago nació en Acuña, Coahuila, México el 24 de julio de 1961, hijo de Rodolfo y Diamantina (Perales) Ortiz.

Le precede en muerte su padre Rodolfo Ortiz, y sus hermanos, Jose Maria Ortiz y Juan Ortiz.

Los sobrevivientes incluyen a su esposa, María de Jesús Valenzuela Ortiz, sus hijos: Santiago Ortiz, Andy Ortiz, Banesa Ortiz, Noemí Ortiz, Nuria Ortiz, Angie Ortiz y Kendra Wickerson; y sus nietos: Oscar López, Rebecka López y Josiah Vargas y su madre Diamantina Ortiz, y sus hermanos y hermanas: Aurora Ortiz, Rafael Ortiz, Rodolfo Ortiz Jr., Jose Juan Ortiz, Feliciano Ortiz, Marisol Ortiz, Josefa Ortiz, Yolanda Ortiz, Sandra Ortiz y Diamantina Ortiz.

Santiago fue un padre y abuelo muy amoroso. Le gustaba recoger a sus hijos y nietos de la escuela y cuidar de ellos. Siempre estaba allí para sus hijos en cualquier momento cuando llamábamos en cualquier momento del día o de la noche. Era conocido por ser un gran cocinero y también le gustaba llevarle de comer a su esposa a su trabajo cuando ella trabajaba. Su familia lo extrañará mucho y nunca lo olvidaran.

La visitación y velorio se llevará a cabo en la funeraria de Mount Vernon Memorial el viernes 15 de septiembre del 2023 empezando a las 5:00 p.m., un servicio de oración que se llevará a cabo a las 7:00 p.m., y el velorio continuará hasta las 10:00 a.m. del sábado. El servicio de entierro se llevará a cabo en el cementerio Edwards en Mount Pleasant, Texas el sábado 16 de septiembre del 2023 a las 11:00 a.m.

Santiago Ortiz of Mount Pleasant, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the age of 62. He was born in Acuña, Coahuila Mexico on July 24, 1961, to Rodolfo and Diamantina (Perales) Ortiz.

He is preceded in death by his father, and brothers, Jose Maria Ortiz, and Juan Ortiz.

Survivors include his wife, Maria de Jesus Valenzuela Ortiz, children: Santiago Ortiz, Andy Ortiz, Banesa Ortiz, Noemi Ortiz, Nuria Ortiz, Angie Ortiz and Kendra Wickerson; and grandchildren: Oscar Lopez, Rebecka Lopez, and Josiah Vargas, mother, Diamantina Ortiz, siblings: Aurora Ortiz, Rafael Ortiz, Rodolfo Ortiz Jr, Jose Juan Ortiz, Feliciano Ortiz, Marisol Ortiz, Josefa Ortiz, Yolanda Ortiz, Sandra Ortiz, and Diamantina Ortiz.

Santiago was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed taking them and picking them up from school. He was always there for his children at any time when they called, any time of the day or night. He was known to be a great cook and often took his wife lunch when she was at work. His family will miss him greatly and never forget him.

The Velorio will be held at the Mount Vernon Memorial Funeral Home beginning on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. and will continue until 10:00 a.m. the next morning. The Graveside Service will be held at the Edwards Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
