Martin Ray Slaton, of Mount Vernon, Texas, aged 22, left from this earth to take his first breath in the air of heaven on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was born on January 20, 2000, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Steven Ray and Vickie Gail (Amos) Slaton.
Martin played in many of the local youth sports growing up in Mount Vernon and loved spending summers at Kanakuk Kamp. He was kindhearted and a friend to many. He left his mark on this earth with his huge heart and giving nature; then left this world giving life, hope, and joy to many through the gift of organ donation.
Martin will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Martin Ray Slaton and maternal grandmother, Marlene (Powell) Amos.
