Jerrell Don Barnwell

Jerrell Don Barnwell, age 63, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas.  He was born on April 7, 1959, to Harold and Glenda Barnwell, who preceded him in death.  He was a heavy equipment operator by trade, and he was a cowboy by heart.

Donnie is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, J and Amy Barnwell of College Station, Texas, and two grandchildren, Savannah and Joshua.  He is also survived by his brother, Baney Barnwell of Leesburg, Texas, and three sisters, Teresa Barnwell of Tyler, Texas, Terri Rozell and Tommy of Pittsburg, Texas, Carol and Mark Bishop of Mount Pleasant, Texas, a stepbrother, Steve and Rosanne Swafford of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and a stepsister, Dori and Veil Smith of Austin, Texas.  Nieces and nephews include Jeremy Barnwell, Tera Rozell, Haley Bishop, B.J. Kraner, Chris Kraner, Maci Swafford, and Ridge Swafford, as well as his stepfather, Dale Swafford.

Two nephews, Joshua Barnwell and Corey Bishop, preceded him in death. 

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Mount Vernon Memorial Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Texas from 6-8 p.m.
