Hollie Jane “Nano” Weatherford, of Mount Vernon, Texas was completely healed and called home on
Tuesday, September 27, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. Hollie was born on August 3, 1955, in San
Angelo, Texas. Just a few moments later she was hand-picked by mother, Janie Louise Copeland and
father, Joe D. Green.
Hollie is proceeded by death by the love of her life Ben McSwain before his passing. Hollie is also
proceeded in death by her parents, Janie Copeland and Joe Green and her bonus son Ransom
Weatherford.
Hollie spent her days enjoying planting flowers and trees, rocking out at many concerts, enjoying
sunsets from her back porch, and sharing coffee breaks with her best friend, Karla Webber. Hollie
selflessly dedicated 20 years to tirelessly working as a nurse. Hollie also spent most of her days fighting
to survive and showing the world the true definition of perseverance. She will be remembered as a
vibrant, free-spirited woman who had a deep love for her children, friends, and pets.
Hollie is survived through and remembered lovingly by her brother, Joe Green and wife DJ, of Cuero, TX,
children, Sarah McSwain, Melissa Clawson and husband Shannon, grandchildren Bryce Crow and fiancé
Madison Whitfield, Cassie Weatherford and fiancé Jeremy Rutledge, Amber Sparks, CJ Sparks, Audrey
Weatherford, Kolbe Cook, as well as numerous great grandchildren. Hollie is also survived by her bonus
children Laura Huff and husband Bubba of Crosby, and Jim Weatherford of Terrell. Hollie is also survived
by her dog, Sister, and her cat, MJ, who she loved deeply.
A Visitation will take place at Mount Vernon Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, September 30, 2022,
from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 pm. The Burial will be held at the
Forest Lawn Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.
