Heather Nicole Stephens, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the young age of 39. She was born on July 22, 1982, to Kimberly Cullipher Epperson and Charles E. Stephens in Mount Pleasant, Texas.

She is preceded by her father: Charles E. Stephens, paternal grandparents: Nell and James Stephens, maternal grandparents: Mary Jo and Charles Cullipher, and sister: Beth Hess.

Survivors include her mother: Kimberly and David Epperson, partner: Robert Lee Holster, beloved son: James Holster, siblings: Dustin and Melisa Stephens, Rachel and Steven Corona, Jason and Sonya Procell and Betty and Kent Schmidt, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Heather was a loving mother, and she was extremely proud of her son, James. Known for her big heart, she showed others support through her job as a caregiver. She made a huge impact on those that she cared for over the years. She adored being outdoors, camping and spending time out at the lake. Heather had a way of making her friends and family feel special and important. Making sure they had her undivided attention when spending time with her and always remaining attentive to them. She was a collector of all things John Deere and loved dragonflies.

Her family and friends will never forget her. Those that knew and loved her will miss her greatly.

Family and friends will gather at the Collvins Memorial Funeral Home for the Visitation on April 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., with the Funeral Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. Services will conclude after the Funeral Service.
