Dixie Angel Cooper, of Seguin, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at the age of 16 years. She was adopted in 2004 and lived in Stockton, California up until 2006 when she moved to Texas with her family.
She is preceded in death by one of her owners, Curtis J. Cooper.
Survivors include her baby, Kamille "Smalls" Serrano and her parents: Tiffany and Chris Aguilar; her canine siblings: Rosie Lee, Betty, Coco Aguilar and Peaches Duncan; as well as two cat siblings: Rascal and Priscilla (Presley) Aguilar.
Dixie was an amazing dog, a true one of a kind from the first day that she was adopted. Protective, caring, kind and always doting on her baby, Smalls. Smart as a whip, in her younger days, she would keep her family entertained with her witty antics. She was a fast runner and very strong. In her older years, Dixie slowed down quite a bit but could always be seen keeping up with the rest of her house pack. She never lost her spunk and tenacity, even up to her last breath. Our family will forever keep her memory in our hearts and will miss her as the days go by.
A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later time.
The Aguilar Family would like to thank Dr. Patterson at Conover's Veterinary Hospital and the gentle staff at the Blue Pearl Pet ER.
Memorials can be made to the Guadalupe Valley Humane Society (2484 TX-46, Seguin, TX 78155, (830) 372-2055). Please consider adopting a dog or cat, you never know whose life you may be saving, it very well just might be your own.
