Daniel Lee Foster

Daniel Lee “Danny” Foster, age 59, of Cookville, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in Mt. Vernon, Texas, following an extended illness. Danny was born August 21, 1964, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to LaRue and Arlin “Pete” Foster.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Mount Vernon Memorial Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Olen and Esta Gholson Byers and Earl and Opal Foster.

Survivors include Tony and Dana Bohlken, Kaitlyn Keener and husband, Colton; Bailey Dorner and husband, Landon; a sister, Marsha Foster, of Rogers, Arkansas; cousin, Janice Courdin, of Monett, Missouri; several nieces, a nephew, and many close friends.

Danny was a 1982 graduate of Elkins High School.  He was a Master Electrician and was employed at EDH Electric in Mt. Pleasant, Texas for 34 years. 

Danny grew up in Elkins, Arkansas, and loved spending time on the White River, where his ashes will be spread. He loved baseball, the St. Louis Cardinals, fishing, hunting, spending time at deer camp in Kansas and visiting Colorado every summer.
